Works on paper

As a full time arts practitioner Crawford's work has always been singularly personal being derived from the premise that all work should negotiate and find a path between:

What you see and what you know;
between memory and impulse.

Not a day will go by when Crawford does not draw.
Drawing and painting on paper is simply part of every day studio life.

While the works may appear to the casual observer to be abstract they are  in fact based on remnants of memory.

Crawford's current work is involved in establishing the boundaries of the remembered object through drawing and modeling.
